Engraver

Overview                                                 

The Engraver is responsible for engraving plaques, trophies, crystal and acrylics using a variety of engraving techniques.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Engrave custom pieces according to customer specifications and established guidelines
  • Set machine parameters and load files based on defined settings
  • Proofread all text engraving to verify correct spelling and punctuation if applicable
  • Ensure pieces are distributed to assembly for final quality control before shipping  
  • Sorting, checking, and inspecting components for defects and verifying counts
  • Performs necessary housekeeping duties in order to maintain safe, clean and organized workplace
  • Inform manager of any problems and actively participate in process improvements  
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

Placement Criteria

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Up to 3 years of experience in a related role or suitable combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and organize diverse material and ability to handle multiple, competing and changing priorities; ability to perform effectively without supervision and within established time limits and ongoing deadlines.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally, and provide an exceptional customer experience, both internally and externally at all times.   All employees are expected to exhibit exemplary customer service skills, both with external customers, vendors, visitors, co-workers, and management staff. Their written and verbal communication skills should be concise and effective, they should aspire to excellence in both work and customer service, they should treat customers and co-workers fairly and respectfully, including individuals they encounter while representing the Company. 
  • Employee should be knowledgeable regarding Google Docs, have proficient computer skills, display adaptability in learning the use of company specific software and display comprehension of fundamental computer practices and database management;

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear.  The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, stoop and bend.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25-50 lbs.
